Who is it for?
Additional supply is available for women who have previously been prescribed period delay treatment and require an extended or repeat course, subject to suitability.
How it works:
The medication contains norethisterone, which helps maintain the lining of the womb and delays the start of your period while you continue taking it.
Dosage:
The usual dose is one tablet taken three times daily, starting 3 days before your expected period. The length of treatment will be confirmed during your consultation. Your period will typically begin 2–3 days after stopping the medication.
Side effects:
Possible side effects may include bloating, breast tenderness, nausea, headache, or mood changes. These are usually mild and temporary.
